- The Nintendo Switch is the official hardware for which the mod was designed for and works the most reliably on.
Yuzuhas the least issues we've heard of and since it's not being updated in the future, we don't think any new issues will arise.- It has been discontinued.
Sudachiwe've heard of some of the most success with. Eden was recommended by its creator upon its archival.- If you plan to install an older build, be careful. There appears to be fake or unofficial websites that could be malicious.

- Eden seems to do the best for people who use it.
- It is a fork of Yuzu.
- Ryujinx & its forks are not very good for SMOO. It has netcode that clashes with SMOO somehow that causes issues.
- It is the only option on Mac so we do recommend it in that case.
- Citron has had issues, in our experience. We've heard of some people having success and some people having issues.
- Citron has undergone some drama ( ¹ , ² ) in recent years that may be worth noting. They have been accused of "taking keys" without clearly saying so and the lead developer (Zephyron-Dev) may have a history ( ³ , ⁴ ).
- Suyu is hit or miss. We wouldn't personally recommend it but we're not 100% sure it has issues.
We are aware Sudachi, Citron, Eden, and Suyu are based on Yuzu. They are not made equally. Some break or change code that others do not.
